Can pregnant individuals receive a massage?
YES! Handled with care, massage can be a safe addition at any time when pregnant. It is up to the client's comfort level on when they would like to start receiving prenatal massages. We have comfortable tables and plenty of pillows. We also have a prenatal pillow that allows the client to safely and comfortably lay on their belly during the session.
How often should clients get a massage?
Consistency is key. It's not always possible to undo years of trauma to the body in one session, but the goal is to get some relief. Clients who are consistent do report having longer lasting relief from treatment. Once a week is ideal. but once a month is fine too. We understand that it is hard to find time for self-care, but we are here when you do!
